Three arrested in death of Pittsburg man
Pittsburg ? Three people have been arrested after the death of a southeast Kansas man led to the discovery of a methamphetamine lab.
Crawford County Sheriff Sandy Horton on Wednesday identified the victim as 29-year-old Ian P. Monaghan of Pittsburg, whose body was found Monday at a trailer park. Horton has not said how Monaghan died.
Horton says 38-year-old Charles F. Mitchell and 30-year-old Amie Lee Ryburn were arrested Monday night in Jasper County, Mo., when an officer discovered a meth lab in their truck.
The Pittsburg Morning Sun reports that Mitchell and Ryburn were served with first-degree murder warrants Wednesday while they were being held in the Jasper County Jail in Carthage, Mo.
The third suspect, 55-year-old Robert L. “Dutch” Liming, of Pittsburg, was arrested Monday night on an obstruction of justice charge.
