More than 1,600 pot plants seized

? Authorities in southeast Kansas have seized more than 1,600 marijuana plants growing in rural Woodson County. Now, they’re looking for whoever was growing the illegal weed.

Woodson County Sheriff Shannon Moore told KOAM-TV that deputies found the plants after getting a tip. Moore says deputies initially thought the plants were ditch weed, a low-potency form of marijuana that grows wild.

Some of the plants were 15 feet tall. No suspects were in custody Thursday.
