Call center offering jobs to open in Lenexa

February 13, 2010

— A company that provides collection services for major U.S. banks says it plans to open a call center in Lenexa that would bring 220 jobs to the city.

Client Services Inc. of St. Charles, Mo., announced Thursday that it would invest $3.4 million in a new facility.

There are reports that the center could open by late February or March. Initially, 175 jobs will be created, but the company says it will offer 220 jobs within two years.

Kansas will give the company a $1.47 million incentive package that includes job training, enterprise zone investment credits and a personal property tax exemption.

yes, they will most likey take the incentive, pay minimum wage and exit stage left after the tax credits expire .. typical bandaid relief for the job market..

At least they will be jobs, DudeDogDozen. When my company cut everyone's pay 8% this year, the President pointed out we should feel fortunate to still have our jobs. He's right.
