Arrest made in connection with Tuesday stabbing

A 45-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Tuesday morning stabbing.

The incident, which occurred about 3:10 a.m. in the 1300 block of New Hampshire Street, ended in a 24-year-old Lawrence man being transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office booking log, the suspect was arrested on charges of aggravated battery at 4 p.m.

I'd hope so. Even though the identity was not released to the public, he is an acquaintance of the victim.
