— A longtime aide to Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts will be the district staff director for incoming Congressman Kevin Yoder.

Molly Haase will start working for Yoder in Kansas City, Kan., on Jan. 3. She's currently Roberts' press secretary and has been on the senator's staff for more than eight years.

Yoder, a Republican, will represent the 3rd Congressional District in the U.S. House. The district includes the Kansas side of the Kansas City metropolitan area and part of the city of Lawrence.

Yoder defeated Democrat Stephene Moore in November. Moore is the wife of outgoing Democratic Congressman Dennis Moore, who decided not to seek re-election after holding the seat for 12 years.
