Kansas House minority leader Paul Davis taps former Steve Six staff member to be communications director

December 29, 2010

— An aide to outgoing Kansas Attorney General Steve Six will serve as media director for Kansas House Minority Leader Paul Davis.

Ryan Sinovic has been director of strategic communication for the Democratic attorney general. He created two websites for Six's office and produced promotional material for his re-election campaign.

Six was defeated in November by Republican Derek Schmidt and leaves office Jan. 10.

Davis is a Democrat from Lawrence. His chief of staff, Craig Grant, is retiring Jan. 7, and the minority leader's office is being restructured so that no one holds the title of chief of staff.

How many democrats are left in the Kansas legislature? Do they really need much of a minority staff? I mean, can't they all fit in a room?
