Caney ? A 46-year-old driver has died after colliding with a tree near the southeast Kansas town of Caney.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the victim as William E. Wright of Niotaze.

The patrol says it’s unclear what caused Wright to drive off the side of a Chautauqua County road Sunday and hit a tree.
