Wichita ? Spirit AeroSystems is planning to celebrate the rollout of a helicopter fuselage for the U.S. Marine Corps.

The firm says Thursday’s event marks the first Sikorsky CH-53K fuselage coming out of the Wichita plant.

Spirit says the CH-53K is a dual-piloted, multi-engine helicopter designed for heavy lift capacity. The helicopter is designed to deliver heavy equipment, supplies and personnel between ships and military operations ashore.
