Manhattan ? Riley County police are investigating two separate shootings that they say might be related.

Police say officers were called to the Manhattan home of 20-year-old Brock Gibby Tuesday morning. Gibby told police an intruder had come into his home and shot him. He identified the shooter as 18-year-old Tyler White.

Police Capt. Kurt Moldrup says when officers located White’s vehicle and tried to stop him, he shot himself.

KMAN reports that Gibby and White were taken to a Manhattan hospital in critical condition. Gibby was later transferred to Via Christi St. Francis hospital in Wichita and White to Stormont Vail in Topeka.
