Person of interest in Great Bend teen’s death taken into custody

Adam Longoria, 36, is charged with capital murder and criminal sodomy in the August killing of 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt in Great Bend.

? Law enforcement officials have taken a person of interest into custody in the death of a 14-year-old girl.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation found Adam Longoria in Lincoln County just west of Salina just before noon.

Longoria, 36, was driving a stolen 2002 white Ford Explorer.

The Great Bend Tribune reported Friday that authorities searched a house connected with the investigation about 10 p.m. Thursday and were there past midnight.

Officers at the scene told the newspaper that their investigation into the death of Alicia DeBolt led them to the house, but referred all other questions to the Kansas Attorney General’s Office.

DeBolt’s charred body was found on Tuesday. She had been reported missing after she left her home Saturday night.
