Benedictine honors Mother Teresa on 100th birthday

? A northeast Kansas college is honoring Mother Teresa on what would have been her 100th birthday by naming a remodeled nursing building for her.

Benedictine College in Atchison on Thursday unveiled the Mother Teresa Center for Nursing and Health Education.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports that Archbishop Joseph Naumann and three sisters from the Missionaries of Charity, the congregation established by Mother Teresa in Calcutta, India, spoke at the ceremony.

The dedication ceremony was also a 100th birthday celebration for Mother Teresa, who visited the campus in 1981.
