Air National Guard hosts back-to-school event

? The Kansas Air National Guard held a pair of events aimed at making it easier for military families to send their kids back to school.

The 190th Air Refueling Wing hosted one event in Topeka on Saturday, where military men and women from all branches could pick up free school supplies.

The other was put on in Wichita by the family program of the Kansas Air Guard’s 184th Intelligence Wing.

Kansas Adjutant General Tod Bunting’s office said in a news release that the school supplies were made available by community support through donations and the Operation Home Front program, the local American Cross and Dollar Tree stores.
