Governor, attorney general hosting on conference on crime victims’ rights

? Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson and Attorney General Steve Six are hosting a two-day conference this week on crime victims’ rights.

The 13th annual conference begins Wednesday at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka. It’s expected to attract dozens of crime victims’ advocates, volunteers and law enforcement officials.

Parkinson has designated this as Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Six plans to speak at a conference luncheon Thursday.

The theme of the conference is ensuring dignity and respect for crime victims.
