Topeka Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson’s office won’t say whether it has received a threatening letter like one sent to most of the nation’s governors.
Parkinson spokesman Seth Bundy refused to comment Friday, saying the office doesn’t discuss matters related to the governor’s security.
Governor’s offices in multiple states have confirmed receiving letters saying that if they don’t leave office within three days, they will be removed.
An internal federal intellegence note obtained by The Associated Press said such letters were sent to more than 30 governors as of Wednesday.
They’re from a group calling itself the Guardians of the free Republics. It says on its Web site that it wants to “restore America” by peacefully dismantling parts of the government.
