Kan., Okla. universities to get $6M in funds

National Science Foundation has awarded $6 million to researchers at four Kansas and Oklahoma universities, including Kansas University, to study climate change and ecological forecasting.

The scientists at KU, Kansas State University, University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University will work together on the research and collaborate using a computer network.

The funding comes from the NSF’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. The research will focus on the effect climate change and changes in land use have on biodiversity and plant and animal diseases.
