Democrats to gather in Wichita

The Kansas Democratic Party will hold its annual Demofest Friday and Saturday in Wichita.

Social events will dominate Friday, while party business is on tap Saturday at the meeting, which will be held in the Hyatt Regency.

Statehouse reporter Scott Rothschild will cover the Saturday events and be blogging live on LJWorld.com.

Caucus and congressional district meetings and candidate training is scheduled for Saturday moring. Gov. Mark Parkinson will speak at a banquet luncheon and the state committee will meet in the afternoon. Party officials expect about 250 people.
