Shaye L. Downing, a partner with the law firm of Sloan, Eisenbarth, Glassman, McEntire & Jarboe, was honored by the Kansas Legal Services Corp. for exceptional work in providing pro bono services as part of the corporation’s legal aid program.

Downing was recognized in August at a reception commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Legal Services Corp. The event was at the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in Topeka.

Downing works at the firm’s Lawrence office and specializes in such areas as civil litigation, family law and personal injury law. She has been with the firm since 2003.
