Health officials say swine flu is circulating at Fort Riley

? Kansas health officials say the swine flu virus is circulating at Fort Riley, based on the number of cases in Geary and Riley counties.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday that the state has 69 cases of the H1N1 virus, with 36 of them in counties near Fort Riley. The agency said it has advised the Army hospital that additional lab tests for the flu are not needed based on the large number of cases.

Seven new cases were reported Friday, two in Geary and five in Riley.

The total number of confirmed cases by county as of Friday stand at two in Dickinson, one in Ford, 15 in Geary, 11 in Johnson, one in Ottawa, 21 in Riley, five in Saline, one in Sedgwick and 12 in Wyandotte.
