Just in time for a spring home spruce-up, the design consultants from House Parts, a home furnishings store on Massachusetts Street, are offering some decorating tips during this week’s “Home and Away.”

Scott Wisdom shares what’s current and fresh in home florals and trends designed to bring nature indoors. From creative floral centerpieces to elaborate vine- and branch-filled urns, Wisdom discusses how to determine size, proportion and color and gives advice on how florals can impact the style of a space.

Accessories are the jewelry of any room, according to designer Maureen Bernhagen. Bernhagen explores four basic categories, including lamps, art, decorative elements and area rugs, and emphasizes coordinating all the components into a cohesive design statement reflective of the homeowner’s personal style.

Consultant Ann McQueeney provides insight into selecting furniture as the foundation of any room, with examples of upholstered and occasional pieces and case goods.

“Home and Away” premieres at 6:30 p.m. Mondays at 6:30 on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 and replays at 9:30 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m., 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday; 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday; 10:30 a.m. Friday; 10 a.m. Saturday; and 9 p.m. Sunday.
