Kansas Lt. Gov. Mark Parkinson is scheduled to visit Kansas University Tuesday to speak on “National Policy and Climate Change.”
Parkinson is in line to be appointed as governor if Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is confirmed as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
He will speak at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Commons in Spooner Hall. His speech is free and open to the public.
Parkinson’s visit is co-sponsored by the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets, the Dole Institute of Politics, the Institute for Policy and Social Research and the National Science Foundation C-CHANGE Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship program.
