Suspect charged after 2006 Topeka fatal fire
Topeka ? A 33-year-old Topeka man has been arrested in connection with a two-year-old cold case murder.
Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor said Friday that Frank Robinson was charged more than two years after 53-year-old Marvina Lee Washington was killed in a 2006 Topeka fire at an apartment house.
The district attorney’s office filed one count each of felony murder and aggravated arson against Robinson on Thursday.
The case was filed Thursday; Robinson was arrested by the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office later that day.
The decision to file charges against Robinson was made as part of a review of 23 Shawnee County homicides.
