Navy Lt. Derek A. Rader and Army Capt. Bart O. Ransone have graduated from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., earning master’s degrees in science. The school is designed to provide relevant and unique advanced education and research programs to increase the combat effectiveness of the U.S. and Allied armed forces, and to enhance the security of the United States.

Rader has served six years in the military. He is a 1997 graduate of Baldwin High School and the son of Ronda Rader, Cookeville, Tenn.

Ransone is an armor officer with 17 years of military service. The captain earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1999 and is the son of Pat Ransone, Lawrence, and the late Lt. Col. Preston M. Ransone.

Air Force Airman Jacob M. McCormick has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman is a 2008 graduate of McLouth High School and the son of Misty and Thomas McCormick, McLouth.
