Music festival set to stay in Manhattan

? A country music festival that draws tens of thousands to Manhattan will stay in the city for at least three more years.

Country Stampede officials have signed contracts to hold the festival at Tuttle Creek Reservoir through 2012.

President and general manager Wayne Rouse says rumors start every year that the festival will move somewhere else. But he says Manhattan is a great site and festival organizers don’t have any intention of leaving.

Rouse says Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert have already committed to playing next year’s festival.
