Defense Department to honor employers
Kansas National Guard and Reserves members and their families may nominate employers for the 2009 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. Nominations will be accepted through Monday at FreedomAward.mil.
The Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award is the highest recognition given by the U.S. government to employers for their support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserves.
The 2009 recipients will be announced in the spring and honored in Washington on Sept. 17 at the 14th annual Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award ceremony.
