Investigators dig at missing boy’s home

? Investigators found no human remains while digging at the mobile home park where a Kansas boy missing for about a decade once lived, the local sheriff said Wednesday.

But Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy said searchers have found some “items of interest” they will be evaluating further, including possibly conducting some chemical tests on them.

Searchers used heavy equipment and hand shovels Wednesday to dig at the mobile home park where Adam Herrman lived when he disappeared in the summer of 1999. Searchers also brought a device known as a “sniffer” that can detect decomposing remains.
