1 injured in eastern Kansas plane crash

? An Arizona man was injured after he crashed a small plane in eastern Kansas.

Fifty-six-year-old Mark Sherman, of Chandler, Ariz., suffered a broken back in the crash.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Sherman was the pilot of the single-engine Lancair IV Propjet that lost power while he was attempting to land at Allen County Airport this week.

Sherman was treated at Allen County Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Wichita with a cracked vertebra.
