Fort Riley soldier stabbed while at store
Junction City ? Junction City police say three people are being held without bond after a Fort Riley soldier was stabbed twice in the abdomen on Thursday.
Officials say 28-year-old Private Michael L. Osborne Jr. is in fair condition at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka, where he was flown after being stabbed at Casey’s General Store in Junction City.
Police say they later pulled over a vehicle matching a description witnesses gave.
They arrested 30-year-old Patti Schofield on suspicion of aggravated battery; and 35-year-old Christopher J. Yarborough and 28-year-old Jennifer Holter on suspicion of aiding and abetting aggravated battery.
All three are from Junction City and are being held at the Geary County Detention Center.
