3 nativity figures stolen from church

? Three life-sized pieces from a Wichita Catholic church’s outdoor nativity scene have been taken.

Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church members believe someone stole the kneeling king, a sheep and shepherd as a prank.

The church has filed a report with the Wichita Police Department, but investigators have no leads in the theft, which reportedly occurred as early as Monday.

Police say the king and shepherd have a reported value of more than $1,000, making the thefts a potential felony.

The church became aware of the missing pieces Tuesday morning.

A church member gave the 30-piece set to the church nearly 25 years ago.
