Wichita A 10-year-old has been returned to his father after a thief in Wichita stole a pickup truck with the boy inside.
Wichita police Lt. Mike Hennessy told The Wichita Eagle the suspect dropped the boy off about a block south of the QuikTrip where the truck was stolen Tuesday night.
Hennessy says the boy’s father had left the truck running while he went into the convenience store.
Police say the suspect told the boy to get out after discovering him in the back seat of the extended-cab truck. The boy returned to the convenience store and told his father the truck had been stolen.
The suspect was described as a man in his late 20s. The stolen, white F-150 was not immediately recovered.
