K.C. Zoo prepares for polar bears
Kansas City, Mo. ? The Kansas City Zoo has moved one step closer to adding polar bears to its list of attractions.
Officials ceremonially broke ground Friday on a nearly $7.9 million spacious new exhibit to house the animals.
The exhibit is scheduled for completion by May. It will occupy about a quarter of an acre just inside the zoo entrance. The climate-controlled building will include a 140,000 gallon pool.
