Second Lt. Cuyler Patrick Halpin, commissioned officer of the U.S. Air Force, recently completed Phase 2, T-6 Pilot Training in the 41st Flying Training Squadron, Mitchell Flight, at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. Halpin has been selected as one of two USAF officers in the 09-09 class at Columbus AFB to advance into Phase 3, T-38 training with the 50th Flying Training Squadron, Raptor Flight, and is scheduled to graduate from USAF Pilot Training in June 2009.
Halpin, a 2002 graduate of Lawrence High School, is the son of Patrick Halpin and Erin Callahan-Halpin. He graduated cum laude from the University of Dubuque, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Science professional degree in pilot and aviation management in 2006.
