Obama transition team contacts Sebelius
Yes, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius had a conference call with President-elect Barack Obama’s team. No, she said, it wasn’t about whether she’ll be joining the administration.
Sebelius said Thursday’s call involved 30 Democratic governors and John Podesta, Obama’s transition chief. She said the call was designed to keep the governors informed about the transition.
Many Democrats consider Sebelius a potential secretary of energy or health and human services. But Sebelius reiterated that she’s had no contact about a job with Obama or his staff. And she said she’s not actively seeking a position.
