Wichita ? Wichita police are looking for a man who robbed an 81-year-old woman who was visiting a family member’s grave at a cemetery.

The woman, from California, was at the grave Thursday when a man in his 20s approached and asked if she could give him bus fare. The woman opened her purse to get some cash, and the robber snatched the purse and ran.

Police say the robber threw the purse down after taking out money.

Wichita detective Phil Jacob says unfortunately robberies can occur anywhere – even the cemetery. Jacob doesn’t feel the woman’s age made her more susceptible to the crime.

He says robbers prey on unsuspecting victims of any age.
