President Bush will speak at a private fundraiser for state Sen. Nick Jordan, who is running for the congressional district that includes east Lawrence.

The lunch reception Thursday will be at the home of Dalton and Christine Hermes in Bucyrus in Johnson County.

Jordan, R-Shawnee, is challenging U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore, D-Lenexa. The event will cost $7,500 per couple to receive preferred seating, a photo opportunity with Bush and recognition as an event co-host. A $5,000 ticket per individual includes preferred seating and recognition as a sponsor, and a $500 ticket includes admission to the reception.
