State Rep. Paul Davis, D-Lawrence, has filed to run for a fourth term in the Kansas House.

“It has been an honor to represent the people of east and central Lawrence in the Kansas Legislature,” said Davis, a lawyer. “I hope to have an opportunity to continue working on their behalf to make health insurance more affordable, improve our public schools and to develop a comprehensive energy policy for our state.”

Davis, a lifelong Lawrence resident, serves as policy chairman for the House Democratic Caucus and is a member of the House Taxation, Judiciary and Public Safety and Transportation Budget committees.
