KC woman charged in death of pedestrian

? A Kansas City woman is charged in a November accident that killed a woman who was crossing the street against the light.

The Jackson County prosecutor’s office says 22-year-old Jordan B. Fugate is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of a 64-year-old Frances Liebisch. Fugate also is charged with driving while her license was revoked.

According to court documents, Fugate admitted she had been drinking before the accident in Midtown Kansas City. Court documents state that a breathalyzer test showed her blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.

Prosecutors have asked for a $250,000 bond.

Fugate is currently jailed on unrelated charges.
