Kansan survives plane crash
Wichita ? A central Kansas man suffered serious injuries when his single-engine airplane crashed near Andover.
Sheriff’s Lt. Jeremy Train says the airplane apparently went into a stall before crashing in a field on Saturday morning.
The plane’s landing gear and underside sustained significant damage.
The pilot, a 45-year-old Butler County resident, was taken to Wesley Medical Center for evaluation of back injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the accident.
