Foreign military officers visit Kansas Capitol

? A new class of international military officers studying at Fort Leavenworth spent Friday learning a little more about Kansas.

That included a stop at the Statehouse where the 41 officers posed for pictures with Lt. Gov. Mark Parkinson.

The visit is part of the group’s experience while studying at Fort Leavenworth’s Command and General Staff College. The officers also visited the Kansas Museum of History and spoke with Kansas Supreme Court Justice Lawton Nuss and Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh.
