Republican presidential candidates coming to Kansas Friday
Romney’s leaving the race could affect turnout for Saturday’s GOP caucus

The Kansas Republican caucuses will go on this weekend, and staffers and volunteers are working on a possible announcement that GOP front-runner Sen. John McCain of Arizona will make a stop in the state Friday.
"We're trying to work out some details on an appearance potentially tomorrow in Wichita," said Steve Cloud, co-chairman for McCain's Kansas campaign.
Kansas Republicans will caucus at 10 a.m. Saturday at sites across the state, including in Lawrence at South Junior High School, 2734 La.
One of McCain's chief opponents, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, suspended his campaign earlier today, and Cloud, a Republican national committeeman from Kansas, said he expected McCain to pick up all 36 delegates at stake in Kansas and continue his momentum toward the GOP nomination.
Cloud said he expected an official announcement about McCain's visit this afternoon.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee hopes not to make it easy for McCain in Kansas as he plans four visits across the state Friday - Olathe, Wichita, Topeka and Garden City.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul will have Barry Goldwater Jr. stumping on his behalf Friday in the Kansas City area and Wichita, said Mark Rinke, a Paul campaign volunteer. Paul will be in Washington, D.C., Friday voting on House business.
"He's doing his duty," Rinke said.
Kansas Republican leaders say even though Romney will not be a factor in Kansas, the state is up for grabs, although caucus turnout could be affected.
"If anything, the real interesting story that's going to come out of today is: Where do Romney's supporters go?" said Christian Morgan, executive director of the Kansas GOP.

Since I guess the LJW didn't think it was news to share the info about Huckabee's stops I thought I would pass along the details.

Too bad Kansas caucuses are closed. I'm a registered independent, but I'd love to back Ron Paul in the Republican race.

Shocked Ron Paul will not be in town. This is the kind of place he might do well.
Huckabee might get more votes due to the anyone but McCain vote (not as big as the anyone but Clinton vote).

Typical censorship of Ron Paul. No info on where or when Goldwater will be in the Kansas City Area. Seems Ron is the only one doing his job. No mention of McInsane being booed off the CPAC stage yesterday. A place of real conservatives and McInsane exits stage left.
I switched to Republican so I could vote for Paul. You will have to kill me to stop me.
