Basehor teen injured after fall from vehicle

A teenage girl remained in critical condition Monday at an area hospital after falling out of a vehicle Saturday night south of Basehor.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol reports, 16-year-old Kali Layne Floyd, Basehor, was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling east on Kansas Highway 32 when she fell out of the vehicle near 158th Street. Officials are still investigating why she fell. The accident occurred about 8:20 p.m. Saturday.

Jessica Lynn Brown, 18, Basehor, was the driver of the vehicle, a 2001 Ford.

Floyd was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
