K-State surpasses fundraising goal

Kansas State University and the KSU Foundation announced this week that $529 million had been contributed by 111,605 donors at the conclusion of the seven-year Changing Lives Campaign.

The goal was $500 million.

“We set an aggressive goal for the Changing Lives Campaign, and we even exceeded that goal,” K-State President Jon Wefald said. “This campaign has been a huge success no matter how we measure it. All of us at K-State are so proud of the response from our K-State family.”

The Changing Lives Campaign was designed to ensure the future for K-State students and faculty. All gifts made to K-State between July 1, 2000, and Dec. 31, 2007, were included in the campaign totals.

The campaign aimed to raise funds to support three university priorities: student success, faculty development and the learning environment.
