Grants to showcase Kansas cultural legacy

The Kansas Humanities Council has announced three grant opportunities in support of local heritage.

The Kansans Tell Their Stories grants allow Kansans to share their stories through digital documentaries, heritage tourism projects and community heritage projects. Any Kansas nonprofit organization can apply. There are three categories.

The Digital Documentary Grants offer awards of up to $5,000 for the creation of 5-minute digital documentary shorts that tell a unique Kansas story. The Heritage Tourism Grants offer awards of up to $15,000 for projects, such as exhibitions or interpretive signage, that promote heritage tourism in Kansas. And the Community Heritage Grants offer awards of up to $3,500 for research or oral history grants examining cultural resources.
