State Rep. Lee Tafanelli, R-Ozawkie, has been selected by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to the Kansas Propane Education and Research Council.

Sebelius also appointed Larry Black of Meriden. Black is propane department and operations manager at Capital City Oil Inc.

The council works on enhancing propane safety and efficiency.
