Radio host recovers from surgery after fall

Lawrence radio personality Hank Booth of KLWN might miss a few Jayhawks basketball games this season as he recovers from a fall at his home, his wife said Monday.

Booth, 61, had surgery Monday to fuse discs in his neck, his wife, Sue Booth, said. Booth had some disc degeneration before he fell, twisting his neck, Sue Booth said.

She said the surgery went fine and her husband might miss a few games, but not the whole season.

“He’s not going to miss much of KU basketball,” she said. “He will be there. He may have a neck brace on, but he will be there.”
