KANSAS ? A Fort Riley Soldier has died from wounds suffered in a single-vehicle accident on post grounds, the fort announced.

Spc. Nicholas A. Suriano, 26, of Manistee, Mich., was a cannon crewmember assigned to 4th Battalion, 1st Field Artillery, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division.

Suriano entered the Army in September 2003 and arrived at Fort Riley in June 2007.

The accident, which happened Friday, was under investigation. Fort officials said no other information about the accident was available.
