Attorney general to box for charity
Topeka ? And in this corner …
Attorney General Paul Morrison plans to fight a Missouri police officer in a charity boxing event Nov. 17 at Memorial Coliseum in Kansas City, Kan.
Proceeds from the amateur boxing contest, called Guns ‘N’ Hoses, go to families of police officers, firefighters and emergency service workers who have died in the line of service.
Morrison told KTKA 49 News in Topeka he was somewhat apprehensive about the fight.
“I’ve never boxed before, so when the bell sounds, you don’t know quite how you’re going to react,” Morrison said, but added, “I’m also looking forward to it.”
