Daniel Gilyeat and his four children are the third Kansas City area family in three years to get a visit from "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
The family got a good morning greeting Saturday from Ty Pennington, the host of the popular TV show, and his trademark bullhorn.
Gilyeat and his family will be sent on vacation for a week starting today.
Demolition is planned for Monday, with construction on the family's new home expected to start Tuesday.
Hundreds of volunteers and workers will work to finish the house by the end of the week.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has visited two other families in the Kansas City area. In spring 2005, the show featured the Stephen Johnson family from Kansas City, Mo. And last March, the 12-member Jesus and Michelle Jacobo family of North Kansas City received a new home.
