Soldiers from Kansas, Missouri forts killed

? Pentagon officials said Tuesday that a colonel from Fort Leavenworth and a master sergeant from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., were killed over the weekend.

Col. James W. Harrison, 47, of Missouri, and Master Sgt. Wilberto Sabalu Jr., 36, of Chicago, were killed Sunday at Pul-e-Charkhi prison, about 20 miles east of Kabul.

Harrison was assigned to the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, while Sabalu was with the Military Police School. Harrison and Sabalu were working as mentors to Afghan troops providing security for the prison.
