Suspect in Ottawa battery held in Texas
Ottawa ? A man wanted for beating a woman in a domestic battery incident in Ottawa was arrested Thursday near Wichita Falls, Texas.
Ronnie E. Brant Jr., 36, was stopped for a traffic violation and officers discovered he also was wanted in Franklin County. He was taken to the Clay County, Texas, jail where he is being held pending extradition.
Brant was wanted for aggravated battery, criminal restraint and making criminal threats.
On March 17, a 24-year-old Ottawa woman reported to Ottawa police that she was a victim of a domestic battery.
