Manhattan ? A college student died in an accident on the Kansas State University campus, police said.

Caleb Eilert, 20, of Andover, was driving a motorcycle on the campus Wednesday night when it collided with a sports utility vehicle driven by Judi Lazaro, 43, of Wamego, who was turning left.

Eilert, who was not wearing a motorcycle helmet or eye protection, was taken to Mercy Regional Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police said speeding is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
